Application and Media

The WK 2A flanged valve is designed for systems conveying non-aggressive media towards carbon steel—primarily water, oils, and similar substances. It is ideally suited for district heating networks, water supply installations, air conditioning systems, and other industrial applications. Compliant with Directive 97/23/EC for Group 2 fluids, meaning it can be used in pressurized installations without additional restrictions.

Operating Conditions and Compliance

It operates stably across a wide temperature range—from -20°C to +200°C—making it suitable for both cooling systems and high-temperature heating circuits. The maximum working pressure is 40 bar (4.0 MPa), and the PN-EN 12266-1 standard ensures tightness and strength of connections. The ŚZSJ Certificate No. 2/17 and declaration number 32/AP confirm compliance with current Polish and European requirements.

Construction and Installation

The flanged design enables easy installation and removal without the need to cut the pipeline—particularly useful during maintenance or replacements in existing installations. Standardly equipped with a handwheel for manual operation, but available upon request with a worm gear or for gear mounting—facilitating operation in hard-to-reach locations or with large diameters.
