EMOtec thermal actuator with First-Open function

The EMOtec thermal actuator is an advanced device for precise control of radiator valves in room heating systems. Thanks to the First-Open function, the actuator remains open until the room regulation is activated, allowing for natural air circulation and energy savings right from the installation stage.

Advanced control and reliability

The device utilizes a PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) signal, ensuring smooth and precise regulation of the valve position. The actuator operates in NC (normally closed) mode — in the absence of power, the valve remains closed, guaranteeing the safety of the heating system.

The full operating cycle time is 180 seconds, allowing for gradual opening and closing of the valve without thermal shocks. The rated power is only 2 VA, with a maximum startup power of 70 VA, making the device energy-efficient.

Construction adapted to harsh conditions

The actuator is made of heat-resistant, impact-resistant plastic, which maintains its properties over a wide range of operating temperatures (0°C to +60°C). The white housing blends discreetly into most heating installations.

The IP54 protection rating provides effective protection against dust and splashing water, allowing for installation in various positions without loss of technical parameters. The device diameter is 49.4 mm, and the height is 53.6 mm.

Universal application and easy installation

The actuator is equipped with a standard M30×1.5 connection, which fits all thermostatic valves and three-way valves of this brand. This eliminates the need for special tools or adapters.

The stroke length is 4 mm, which is an optimal solution for most typical radiator valves. The 1 meter long power cable provides installation flexibility.

First-Open function — intelligent energy management

The key feature of the actuator is the First-Open function, which keeps the actuator in the open position until the room regulation system is activated. This innovative function enables:

• Preliminary "degassing" of the heating system
• Energy savings from the very first day of operation
• Automatic transition to normal operation once control is activated

Position indicator and status control

The device is equipped with a position indicator, which allows for easy checking of the current valve status — whether it is open or closed. This function significantly facilitates system diagnostics and monitoring the correct operation of the heating installation.
