EMOtec thermal actuator for professional radiator regulation

The EMOtec thermal actuator is an advanced solution for precise control of radiator valves in central heating systems. The device utilizes PWM technology for smooth temperature regulation.

Construction and materials

The actuator body is made of high-quality plastic resistant to high temperatures and impacts. The white color scheme blends perfectly with most radiators and installation fittings, maintaining the aesthetic appearance of the entire system.

The compact design with dimensions of 53.6 mm height and 49.4 mm diameter allows for installation even in limited spaces, typical for radiator installations in residential and commercial buildings.

Operating parameters and control system

The actuator operates at a voltage of 24V DC with a maximum power consumption of 6 VA during the startup phase and 2 VA in continuous mode, making it very economical to operate. PWM technology enables precise control of the valve position.

The full operating cycle time is 180 seconds. The operating temperature range from 0°C to +60°C allows for installation in both heated rooms and technical zones of buildings.

Functionality and position control

The model is equipped with a position indicator, which allows for easy visual control of the valve status—whether it is open or closed—without the need to dismantle the device. This function significantly simplifies system diagnostics and periodic inspections.

The actuator operates in a normally open (NO) configuration, meaning that in the absence of power, the valve remains open.

Installation and system compatibility

The device is equipped with a standard M30 x 1.5 connection, ensuring compatibility with all IMI HEIMEIER basic valves and three-way valves from this manufacturer. This allows the actuator to be easily integrated into existing heating installations without the need to replace the fittings.

The connection cable length is 1 meter, providing installation flexibility even in hard-to-reach installation sites. The wire cross-section of 2 x 0.75 mm² guarantees a reliable electrical connection.

Environmental resistance and safety standards

The actuator has an IP54 protection rating, which means full resistance to dust and protection against water splashes from all directions. This characteristic allows for installation both indoors and in damp areas such as boiler rooms or technical rooms.

The device meets the requirements of protection class II thanks to protective insulation, eliminating the need for additional installation grounding. The product has a CE certificate, confirming compliance with European electrical safety standards.

A working stroke of 4 mm ensures precise regulation of the heating medium flow while maintaining reliable operation for many years of use without the need for mechanical maintenance.
