The EMO T II electrothermal actuator is an advanced device for precise temperature regulation in heating, ventilation, and cooling installations. Designed to operate in on/off or PWM mode, it ensures reliable medium flow control across a wide spectrum of applications - from individual room regulation to controlling climate systems in public utility buildings.

The device works with TBV-C, TA-Nano balancing and regulating valves, as well as thermostatic valves, offering a universal solution for installers working with different types of installations. The NO (normally open) version maintains the valve in the open position in the absence of supply voltage - crucial for safety systems requiring continuous medium flow.

Construction and technical parameters

The housing made of shock-resistant polyamide ensures high mechanical durability and operational safety. Compact dimensions (49×59 mm) allow for installation even in limited installation spaces.

The device operates at a supply voltage of 230V AC ±15% with a frequency of 50-60 Hz. Maximum power consumption is ≤58 W during startup lasting ≤1 second, while during movement, consumption drops to ≤2.5 W. The 125 N regulation force ensures reliable operation under various flow resistances, and the 5 mm valve stroke guarantees precise flow modulation. A full opening/closing cycle takes approximately 240 seconds.

The 1 meter long power cable is a halogen-free conductor with a cross-section of 2×0.75 mm², ensuring safe operation and ease of installation in various mounting conditions.

Functionality and user benefits

A position indicator visible from every side significantly simplifies service and commissioning procedures - the installer can immediately assess the device's status without the need for disassembly. The first opening function keeps the actuator in the open position until the system is activated, eliminating initial installation startup problems.

The M30×1.5 snap ring enables quick mounting on the valve thread and compatibility with a wide range of IMI TA/IMI Heimeier valves and underfloor heating manifolds. The device has been tested with all IMI valves up to 150,000 cycles, guaranteeing long-term operational reliability.

Low power consumption reduces electricity consumption and facilitates the sizing of power transformers - particularly important in larger multi-motor installations.

Compliance and operating conditions

The EMO T II actuator meets the requirements of the EN 60730-2-14 standard and holds the CE certificate, confirming its compliance with European electrical safety standards. The IP54 protection class ensures safe operation in any mounting position and resistance to dust and water droplets.

The device operates in an ambient temperature from 0°C to +60°C, the medium temperature can reach up to +100°C, and the storage temperature ranges from -25°C to +60°C.

The device is classified as protection class II according to EN 60730, eliminating the need for additional grounding during installation. Automatic stroke recognition is not available - the parameter must be set manually during system configuration.
