Electrothermal Actuator EMO T II

The EMO T II electrothermal actuator is an advanced device for precise temperature regulation in heating, ventilation, and cooling installations. It ensures reliable operation in both on/off and PWM modulation modes, guaranteeing optimal medium flow control across a wide spectrum of applications.

Design and operating parameters

The device features a compact design with dimensions of 49×59 mm, made of electric shock-resistant PC/ABS plastic in white RAL 9016. The high IP54 protection class ensures safe operation in any mounting position, protecting against dust and water droplets.

The regulating force is 125 N, guaranteeing reliable valve operation, while the 4.7 mm stroke enables precise flow modulation. The full opening/closing cycle time is approximately 4 minutes, ensuring stable regulation without sudden flow changes.

Power supply and energy consumption

The actuator is powered by 24V AC/DC with a tolerance of +25%/-20%, allowing for flexible power supply using both alternating and direct current. The maximum electrical power consumption is only 1 VA, making the device very economical to operate.

During startup, power consumption does not exceed 6 W (VA), and during movement, it stabilizes at ≤2 W (VA). The inrush current is ≤250 mA for a maximum of 60 seconds during startup.

Application and compatibility

The device is designed to work with TBV-C and TBV-CMP balancing and regulating valves, as well as TA-COMPACT-P thermostatic valves. The standard M30×1,5 connection allows for mounting on IMI TA and IMI Heimeier valves and underfloor heating manifolds.

It is also used in ventilation installations for regulating supply air temperature and in cooling systems with fan coils or chilled beams.

Operating conditions and safety

The device operates within an ambient temperature range of 0°C to +60°C, with a maximum medium temperature of 120°C. The storage temperature ranges from -25°C to +70°C.

The actuator complies with the EN 60730 standard and holds the CE certificate in accordance with EN 60730-2-14. Protection Class II ensures the safe operation of the electrical installation.
