The EMO T II electrothermal actuator is a professional solution for controlling balancing and regulating valves in heating installations and HVAC automation systems. The device works with TBV-C, TA-Nano valves, and TA-COMPACT-P thermostatic valves, ensuring reliable medium flow regulation.

The actuator's design allows for operation in two control modes - classic on/off and modulated PWM (Pulse Width Modulation). This allows the installer to adapt the regulation method to the specifics of a particular heating or cooling installation.

Technical parameters and performance

The actuator generates a regulation force of 125 N with a stroke of 4.7 mm, ensuring effective control even of demanding balancing valves. The full opening or closing time is 4 minutes, allowing for smooth flow regulation without sudden pressure changes in the installation.

The 24V AC/DC power supply, NC (normally closed) type, makes the device safe for use in residential and commercial buildings. The 2-meter long cable, made of halogen-free material, ensures installation flexibility and meets fire safety requirements.

Construction and materials

Compact dimensions of 90 × 70 × 50 mm and a weight of only 0.16 kg facilitate installation even in hard-to-reach places of heating installations. The M30×1.5 snap-on ring allows for quick and secure mounting of the actuator on the valve thread without the need for additional tools.

The position indicator, visible from every side, significantly simplifies diagnostics of the device's status during startup and HVAC system servicing.

Operating conditions and reliability

The device operates stably at a medium temperature of up to 120°C, and the ambient temperature can range from -5°C to +50°C. The storage temperature range is -25/+70°C, allowing the device to be stored in various climatic conditions.

The high IP54 protection class guarantees safe operation even in humid heating installation environments and in the presence of dust.

Special functions and operation

The first-open function keeps the actuator in the open position until the system is started - this solution eliminates problems with air trapped in heating installations during the initial startup.

Low power consumption reduces electricity usage and facilitates power supply sizing for the entire HVAC automation system.

Quality tests and durability

The actuator has been tested by the manufacturer IMI TA in combination with all compatible valves for 150000 operating cycles. This confirms the high reliability of the device and its suitability for long-term operation in professional heating and cooling installations.
