Advanced hydraulic regulation with intelligent measurement
The TA-SMART-Dp DN 32 intelligent control valve is a modern solution for heating and cooling systems, combining precise differential pressure regulation with advanced diagnostic functions. The device utilizes ultrasonic flow measurement technology combined with unique control capabilities.
Measurement technology and control
At the heart of the system is ultrasonic flow measurement technology, which enables accurate measurements regardless of the medium type and its temperature across the entire flow range. The device is equipped with two Pt1000 temperature sensors and a data logger with the ability to store information for 13 months.
Control is performed via a modulated signal (0-10V or 4-20mA) with the possibility of proportional range splitting. The system supports both digital communication via BACnet/Modbus and MQTT protocols, as well as analog (0(2)-10 VDC or 0(4)-20 mA). Configuration is possible via a web interface and a handheld terminal, while full configuration via Bluetooth and a dedicated application significantly shortens commissioning time.
Material construction and operating parameters
The valve body is made of AMETAL® - a special corrosion-resistant alloy with high mechanical durability, which maintains its properties in water and glycol installations over many years of operation. The stem and ball seals are made of ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) rubber, guaranteeing tightness across a wide temperature range.
The device operates in a medium temperature range from -10°C to 110°C with an allowable relative humidity of 5-95%. The PN25 pressure class and a maximum differential pressure of 400 kPa allow for operation under high hydraulic loads typical for multi-story installations. The valve leakage relative to Kvs is only 0.01%, which testifies to its precision manufacturing.
Diagnostic functionalities and balancing
TA-SMART-Dp offers comprehensive real-time monitoring of installation operating parameters. Continuous measurement of flow, temperature, and power enables accurate identification of hydraulic problems and optimization of the entire system's performance.
The system automatically recognizes the valve stroke and features a self-regulating stroke length (13.7 mm), which simplifies the installation balancing process. The adjustable working area allows for parameter adjustment to the specific requirements of the hydraulic circuit.
Practical applications
The valve maintains a stable differential pressure in the circuit, resulting in precise flow regulation through individual heat loads and a reduction in noise caused by excessive flow velocities through throttling valves. The compact design (200×97×199 mm) allows for reduced installation time and the modernization of existing installations without the need to expand infrastructure.
The device is supplied pre-assembled with a 3-meter connection cable, facilitating quick installation. The IP54 protection rating allows for installation in various environmental conditions while maintaining the full functionality of the control system.
