Boiler safety thermostat cutting off the power supply 3.019229
Safety thermostat – boiler and installation protection
This cut-off safety thermostat is a key element protecting the installation from the effects of overheating. The device automatically switches off the boiler power supply if the permissible temperature is exceeded, minimizing the risk of failure and potential damage. Installing the thermostat is a simple but extremely important investment in the safety and reliability of the heating system.
Functionality and application
The thermostat is designed to work with Immergas boilers, but thanks to its standard parameters, it can also be used in other heating systems. Its task is to monitor the temperature of the heating medium and intervene if it is exceeded. This protects not only the boiler itself, but also the other elements of the installation – pipes, radiators or valves. Installers will appreciate the ease of installation and adjustment, and end-users – peace of mind related to the additional protection of the system.
Key features:
- Reset temperature: manual, after pressing the button (25 ± 8K). Allows for quick restoration of boiler operation after removing the cause of overheating.
- Temperature range: 40 - 70 °C. Allows you to adapt the thermostat to the specifics of a particular installation.
- Hysteresis: 0-10 K. Defines the temperature range in which the thermostat remains active, preventing frequent switching on and off.
- Protection class: IP 40. Provides protection against access to hazardous parts and against the influence of solid objects larger than 1 mm.
- Insulation class: I – basic level of protection against electric shock.
- Temperature gradient: below 1 K/min – ensures precise operation and quick reaction to temperature changes.
- Head temperature: maximum 55 °C – safe temperature of the external surface of the device.
The thermostat is particularly recommended in installations where there is a risk of overheating caused by a failure of the circulation pump, scaling of the heat exchanger or other external factors. Its installation is an element of prevention that can protect against costly repairs and downtime during the heating season. This allows installers to offer their clients comprehensive solutions, and end-users to enjoy trouble-free operation of the heating system for many years.
