Magnetic filter IFM 25 thread IFM-25/G

CONSTRUCTION : The magnetic filter consists of a fuselage, cover, mesh insert, magnetic insert, gaskets and fasteners. The fuselage and cover are made of cast iron ZS 250, ductile iron Zs 50007 or silicon brass MK-80. Brass filters have threaded hull connections. The magnetic insert is a stack of ferrite magnets arranged coaxially on a brass ring mandrel, separated by spacers. The thickness of the spacers is equal to the thickness of the magnets and their outer diameter is smaller than the diameter of the magnets. Such a construction of the stack allows the working area to be divided into two parts: - the area of induction of the dipole moment, located outside the circumference of the magnets - the area of magnetic trapping, located between the poles of the magnets. The magnetic insert occupies a central position inside the mesh insert. The mesh insert is made of stainless mesh with a density of 100 to 600 meshes / cm², covered with a perforated sheet in the case of IFM/K or with a tarmanide frame for IFM. PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION: The operation of IFM magnetic filters is based on two-stage purification of the water flowing through the filter: mechanical and magnetic. The stream of water flowing inside the filter is directed into the area of influence of the magnetic field. The magnetic pile creates a field of the order of 0.1 T outside the circumference of the magnets which attracts corrosion products. Between the magnets, in the so-called magnetic traps, where the field is stronger - of the order of 0.5 T, the magnetic sludge particles dispersed in the water are captured. Impurities that are not susceptible to the influence of the magnetic field are mechanically separated on the filter mesh. INSTALLATION: Magnetic filters should be installed on pipelines so that the water flow direction is in line with the arrow cast on the hull, and the cover is at the bottom of the filter. Filters can be installed on horizontal and vertical pipelines. OPERATION: After installation and commissioning, the magnetic filter does not require any maintenance, except for periodic cleaning of the mesh and magnetic insert. After disconnecting the filter from the system, unscrew the cover from the fuselage, remove the cover with the magnetic insert and remove the mesh insert. Clean the mesh insert mechanically and rinse with a stream of water. Check if the sieve is not deformed and broken. Check the technical condition of the seals. In case of damage, replace the mesh insert and seals. Cleaning the magnetic insert should be done with a brush under a stream of water, during cleaning, do not disassemble the magnetic insert from the cover. The magnetic insert should be protected against strong mechanical impacts. Reassemble the cleaned and technically correct filter elements in the reverse order. It is recommended to use IFM filters:

  • in front of the pumps,
  • in front of the control, measuring and regulating fittings
  • against magnetizers - in order to protect the magnetic pile against ferromagnetic deposits that interfere with the operation of the device.
