Flexible installation cable YLYS 6x0.6+1x1 strand, 100m #
Professional solution for automotive installations
The YLYS flexible installation cable is a specialized multicore automotive cable designed for electrical connections between vehicles and trailers. It is used in tow bar electrical installations, connecting rear lamps to trailers, and all low-voltage electrical connections in trailer systems.
The product is suitable for both professional installation by vehicle technicians and DIY repairs performed by drivers. Its versatility stems from its 7-core construction with a cross-section of 6x0.6mm² + 1x1mm², which enables the transmission of all necessary lighting and power signals.
Construction and materials
The cable is made of class 5 multi-wire copper cores, ensuring high flexibility and resistance to breakage during repeated coiling. Each core has polyvinyl insulation, and the entire assembly is protected by an outer polyvinyl tire sheath.
The "stranded" construction guarantees flexibility at low temperatures - the cable maintains its properties even down to -40°C. At the same time, the PVC materials provide resistance to oils and greases according to the EN 60811-2-1 standard.
The outer diameter is 11.4mm, and the linear mass is approximately 97g/m, making it compact yet mechanically sufficiently durable.
Operating parameters and safety
The cable operates at a rated voltage of 24V, typical for automotive installations. The maximum operating temperature is +70°C, ensuring safety even under high-temperature conditions under the vehicle hood.
The product meets the requirements of the EN 60332-1-2 standard regarding flame retardancy and EN 50267-2-2 for halogen-free materials. Additionally, it is characterized by low smoke emission according to the EN 61034-2 standard.
Standardly available in a length of 100 meters in one continuous piece, eliminating the need to join sections during the installation of longer cable runs.
