Fire-resistant power cable – safety and reliability in critical situations

This three-core NHXH-J FE180/E90 power cable with a cross-section of 1.5 mm² is designed for installations requiring a high level of fire safety. Made of copper conductors, it is perfect for buildings and facilities with increased requirements where protecting life and property is crucial. This cable ensures continuous power or control for 90 minutes in fire conditions – a feature particularly important in places such as hospitals, shopping centers, tunnels or public buildings.

This cable is ideal for powering and controlling various receivers, including emergency lighting, elevators and fire-fighting equipment. Its application includes both fixed installations inside buildings and – with appropriate protection – external ones. It should be remembered that cables with E90 electrical function maintenance require mounting on supporting systems that meet DIN 4102-12 standard.

Construction and properties

The NHXH-J FE180/E90 cable is characterized by a solid construction ensuring reliable operation even in extreme conditions. Copper conductors guarantee good electrical conductivity, and fire-resistant insulation minimizes the risk of fire spreading. This cable is designed to operate at temperatures from -30°C to +90°C (during operation) and from -5°C to +50°C during laying. Thanks to this, it retains its properties over a wide range of ambient temperatures.

It is worth noting the lack of a screen in this model – which is typical for this type of cable intended for specific internal applications. The lack of classification regarding smoke emission, production of burning droplets/particles and acidity indicates a basic level of fire protection in accordance with EN 13501-6.
