Fire-resistant power cable – safety and reliability
This NHXH-J FE180/E90 power cable is designed for installations requiring a high level of fire safety. It is intended for powering receivers in buildings and facilities with increased requirements, such as skyscrapers, hospitals, shopping centers, or tunnels. It ensures continuous power or control supply even in fire conditions, thanks to the E90 performance class – which means maintaining functionality for 90 minutes.
This cable is particularly recommended for applications where reliable operation of fire protection systems, emergency lighting, or elevators is critical in crisis situations. It can be used for powering and controlling various devices. It is intended for permanent installation inside buildings, although in the case of outdoor applications, additional protection against atmospheric factors is required.
Construction and parameters
The NHXH-J cable is characterized by a solid construction based on copper conductors insulated with mica and cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE). It has three conductors with a cross-section of 2.5 mm², which allows for safe energy transmission at a rated voltage of 0.6/1 kV. The insulation strength has been assessed at FE 180, guaranteeing long-term and reliable operation. The cable does not have a screen or lead sheath.
It is worth noting its fire-resistant properties – it meets the EN 60332-1-2 standard regarding the absence of flame propagation. Additionally, the cable is characterized by low smoke emission according to EN 61034-2. The approximate outer diameter of the cable is 14.4 mm and the weight is about 308 kg/km.
