Construction and operating principle

The key to the efficiency of the Kermi D13 recuperator is a ceramic heat exchanger with high density. Its unique design with small channels provides optimal thermal capacity with a relatively small installation depth – at least 20 cm. In combination with an aerodynamic two-way fan, the device offers high performance while maintaining compact dimensions.

D13 operates on the principle of cyclic change of air flow direction. Every minute, the fan switches between supply and exhaust mode. To ensure balanced ventilation, it is recommended to install an even number of devices throughout the house or apartment and connect them to a controller. Radio synchronization in the MESH Bluetooth network guarantees simultaneous change of the working direction of all fans, which maximizes the efficiency of heat recovery.

Intelligent control and additional functions

The KERMI D13 recuperator offers a wide range of control options and customization to individual needs:

• Basic controller: basic control of device functions (230V or battery version).
• Smart controller: advanced control functions via the whiteAIR mobile application:
  • Smooth adjustment of air exchange intensity.
  • Automatic mode controlled by humidity and VOC (volatile organic compounds) sensor.
  • Weekly programmer allowing you to set the device's operating schedule.
• Optional Constant Flow (CF) sensors: precise measurements of temperature, humidity and air velocity in each room, allowing individual adjustment of fan operation and ensuring balanced ventilation even in buildings exposed to strong wind gusts.
• Optional acoustic silencer: reduces the noise level generated by the device.
• Possibility of installing a grille in the window frame: an aesthetic solution for buildings with external thermal insulation system.

Thanks to energy class A+ (when using the Smart controller and Constant Flow sensors), the KERMI D13 recuperator provides the highest level of energy efficiency and comfort. The air flow rate is 43 m³/h and the mounting hole diameter is 160 mm - the minimum wall thickness is 20 cm.
