The PK 90x55 D branch cover in black is a professional accessory for windowsill trunking systems, designed for extra-low and low voltage installations. The element enables the creation of branches in cable installations, serving as a key component of wire routing systems.

Application and compatibility

The element has been specifically designed for the modular installation of electrical devices with dimensions of 45x45 mm or 22.5x45 mm. A maximum of 3 modular devices can be placed directly next to each other. For a larger number of devices, approximately 5 cm of cover should be inserted after every 3 units to ensure stable mounting.

The element is intended for indoor installations. It can also be installed in areas at risk of explosion from flammable gases and vapors (explosion hazard zone 2) and dust (explosion hazard zone 22), which significantly expands its range of applications.

Operating parameters and safety

The element operates in a wide temperature range from -5°C to +60°C, maintaining full functionality in typical environmental conditions. It provides an IP40 protection rating, protecting the installation against access with fingers and tools with a diameter greater than 1 mm.

The IK07 impact resistance class guarantees durability against impacts with energy up to 1 J, translating into solid mechanical protection for the installation. The PVC material is self-extinguishing - it extinguishes automatically within a maximum of 30 seconds, significantly increasing the fire safety level of the entire installation.

Material properties and chemical resistance

The cover is made of high-quality polyvinyl chloride (PVC) without lead additives, making it an eco-friendly solution. The material exhibits excellent resistance to many chemical substances, including ammonia (25%), sulfuric acid (96%), transformer oil, or hydrogen peroxide (20%).

The system has confirmed antibacterial properties, not serving as a breeding ground for bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, or Legionella pneumophila. This is particularly important in medical and industrial applications.

The element complies with the requirements of the CSN EN 50085-1 ed.2:06+A1:14 and CSN EN 50085-2-1:07+A1:12 standards, guaranteeing the highest standards of quality and operational safety.
