External corner for PK windowsill trunking - installation system

The PK 90X55 D external corner element in black is a key component of the windowsill trunking system, enabling an aesthetic and functional finish for electrical installations in building corners. Made of high-quality lead-free PVC, it ensures durability and safety of use for many years.

Construction and materials

The cover is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) without lead additives, which guarantees its eco-friendliness and safety for health. The material is characterized by self-extinguishing properties - it extinguishes within a maximum of 30 seconds after contact with a flame, significantly increasing the safety of the electrical installation.

The element features temperature resistance ranging from -5°C to +60°C, allowing for use in both heated rooms and industrial conditions. The element has an IP40 protection rating, protecting against finger access and against access by a wire with a diameter greater than 1 mm.

The design includes mounting perforation in the lower part to allow for easy fastening, and a symmetrical construction ensuring installation versatility.

Application and compatibility

The element is intended for low and extra-low voltage installations, particularly for mounting modular electrical devices with dimensions of 45x45 mm or 22.5x45 mm.

A maximum of 3 modular devices can be installed in one line. For larger quantities, approximately 5 cm of space must be left after every 3 devices to ensure their correct mounting using the cover.

The system can also be used in explosion hazard zones - both in the presence of flammable gases and vapors (zone 2) and dusts (zone 22), which significantly expands the range of possible industrial applications.

Protective properties and standards

The element is characterized by IK07 impact resistance according to the ČSN EN 50102 standard and meets the requirements of European standards ČSN EN 50085-1 ed.2:06+A1:14 and ČSN EN 50085-2-1:07+A1:12. The fire reaction class of the base material is A1-F, representing the highest level of non-flammability.

The material shows high chemical resistance to many industrial substances, including ammonia (25%), sulfuric acid (96%), transformer oil, or hydrogen peroxide (20%). At the same time, it is not resistant to acetone, benzene, or chlorinated hydrocarbons.

An additional advantage is the antibacterial properties confirmed by tests according to the ČSN EN ISO 846:2019 standard - the material does not serve as a medium for bacteria such as Escherichia coli or Staphylococcus aureus.
