Specialized solution for insulated facades

The KEFZ 80_KB electrical installation box is a professional component of the thermal insulation system, developed specifically for the installation of electrical devices in insulated building facades. The product enables the safe mounting of sockets, switches, and other electrical accessories directly within an insulation layer with a minimum thickness of 80 mm.

Construction and materials

The box body is made of polypropylene (PP) - a lead-free material with high mechanical and chemical resistance. The construction is self-extinguishing (self-extinguishing time of 30 seconds) and halogen-free, ensuring additional safety during use. The material has passed the glow wire test at a temperature of 850°C, confirming its resistance to fire.

The box features a round shape with a diameter of 73 mm and a depth of 52 mm, providing sufficient space for safe cable routing and the installation of standard electrical accessories. The internal usable space is 50 mm, allowing for comfortable installation routing.

Electrical parameters and safety

The device is designed for operation at a rated voltage of ≤400 V and a rated current of ≤16 A, covering typical needs for domestic and office installations. The operating temperature range is from -25°C to +60°C, ensuring reliability in various climatic conditions.

The design meets the fire reaction class requirements of the substrate A1-F, representing the highest level of fire safety. The box has a windproof status, protecting the installation from adverse weather conditions.

Application and compatibility

The solution has been specifically designed for thermal insulation systems using exterior polystyrene and mineral wool. The product allows for installation both during the insulation process and in existing insulated facades - eliminating the need to damage the insulation layer.

The box supports single accessory mounting with the possibility of installing a double socket, increasing functionality while maintaining compact dimensions. The fastening system is adapted for screw or expansion installation, adjusting to different types of substrates.

Installation and equipment

The system includes a complete mounting kit consisting of a screw carrier, the electrical installation box, installation instructions, and appropriate fastening elements. For the first installation, the KEFZ 80/VDZ_KB set is recommended, which additionally includes a manual hole saw to facilitate precise hole cutting.

The box features three cable entries with sealing membranes and the possibility of routing wires through rear openings, ensuring installation tightness and protecting against moisture and pests. The special design allows for precise embedding in the insulation layer without breaking the continuity of thermal insulation, eliminating the typical problem of traditional box mounting methods in insulated walls.
