Application in electrical installations

The PK 90X55 D end cover is an essential finishing element for trunking with dimensions of 90×55 mm, enabling an aesthetic and safe closure of electrical installations. It is used in cable management systems for low and extra-low voltage distributions, where professional finishing of cable routes is required.

This element has been specifically designed for the installation of modular devices with dimensions of 45×45 mm or 22.5×45 mm, making it a universal solution for various installation configurations. Thanks to its symmetrical design, it works as both a left and right element, simplifying warehouse logistics.

Materials and technical properties

Made of high-quality PC/ABS plastic, it guarantees long-term durability and resistance to mechanical damage. The material is characterized by a halogen-free composition, which ensures enhanced fire safety and the absence of toxic gas emissions in the event of a fire.

The cover maintains full functionality across a wide temperature range from -5°C to +60°C, allowing for installation in both heated rooms and industrial conditions. The black color according to the RAL 9005 standard ensures a discreet appearance in most interior arrangements.

The construction provides an IP40 protection rating and IK07 impact resistance, protecting against accidental contact with live parts and mechanical impacts with energy up to 1 Joule.

Safety and standards

The product meets the requirements of the CSN EN 50 085-1 standard, confirming its suitability for electrical installation applications. Additionally, it holds a fire reaction certificate of class A1-F for the base material, guaranteeing the highest level of fire safety.

A special feature is the antibacterial model, which has been tested according to the ČSN EN ISO 846:2019 standard for resistance to colonization by bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, or Legionella pneumophila. This solution will be particularly appreciated by installers working in medical or food environments.

The system demonstrates high resistance to chemical agents, maintaining its properties when in contact with 25% ammonia, 96% sulfuric acid, or transformer oil.

Installation and operation

The clip-on fastening method enables quick installation and disassembly without the use of tools, which significantly accelerates installation work and facilitates any potential system modifications. The design does not require the use of additional covers during the final installation of devices.

If there is a need to separate circuits, dedicated dividers PEKE 60_-C or PKS 70/60_XX can be used, which, despite their low mass, provide similar properties to metal alternatives.

A maximum of three modular devices can be mounted directly next to each other; for larger quantities, approximately 5-centimeter gaps should be maintained between groups of three to ensure proper fixation of the elements.
