This white branch cover, measuring 80x40 mm, is part of the EKD cable management system from KOPOS. It is used to safely route cables out of the cable duct, providing an aesthetic and functional solution in electrical installations. It is a key element when creating installation branches, allowing the connection of additional energy consumers.

Construction and material

The cover is made of high-quality polyvinyl chloride (PVC), which guarantees durability and resistance to mechanical damage (IK06). This material also provides good electrical insulation and resistance to atmospheric conditions in the temperature range of -5°C to 60°C. The snap-fit mounting method facilitates assembly and disassembly, which is particularly useful during servicing or modification of the installation. The white finish (RAL 9003) provides an aesthetic appearance and the ability to match various interiors.

Application and safety

The cover has a protection rating of IP40, which means protection against the ingress of solid objects larger than 1 mm. It is intended for use in dry indoor environments. It does not contain halogen, which increases safety in the event of a fire – it does not release toxic gases during combustion. Compliance with standards ensures safe use and reliable operation. It is worth remembering that the cover does not have antibacterial properties and does not ensure maintaining functionality during a fire (E30/E90). Its main function is to protect against accidental contact and provide an aesthetic finish to the branch point.
