Double halogen-free box for stud walls

The KPL 64-50/2LD HF_KA box is a professional electrical installation solution designed for mounting in stud walls with elevated requirements for the protection of persons and property. Made using two-component technology from halogen-free materials, it ensures the highest level of safety and installation comfort.

Construction and materials

The box body is made of lead-free PVC with self-extinguishing properties (self-extinguishing time of 30 seconds), which guarantees fire resistance in accordance with the A1-F fire reaction class. The material maintains stability across a wide operating temperature range from -5°C to +60°C, and the glow-wire test conducted at 850°C confirms its high thermal resistance.

The design is characterized by distinctive rigidity and a simple shape, which significantly simplifies the process of installing electrical devices. An internal partition allows for the effective separation of electrical circuits, protecting them from mutual interference. External spikes precisely mark drilling points, eliminating the need for additional marking.

Entry system and tightness

The inlets are made of flexible membrane material, which ensures excellent airtightness even after a cable or pipe is inserted. The system includes 8 membrane entries of various diameters, allowing for the flexible routing of different types of conductors.

Cable installation is performed by simply opening the pre-formed entry on the flexible membrane and inserting the conductor into the resulting hole. The tightness of the entry is maintained even after the installation of a cable or pipe, preventing unwanted airflow through the building structure.

Operating parameters and safety

The box is designed for distribution systems with a maximum rated voltage of ≤400V and a maximum rated current of ≤16A. The IP30 protection rating provides an effective barrier against access by fingers and tools with a diameter greater than 12.5mm.

External dimensions are 138 x 68 x 50mm, with an internal depth of 45mm. The standard milled hole diameter is 68mm, and the spacing between two connected boxes is 71mm. The maximum conductor cross-section is 4mm².

Special applications and certificates

The product meets the requirements for installation in soundproof walls with attenuation up to 69dB, making it an ideal solution for modern buildings requiring high acoustic insulation. It is particularly recommended for low-energy or passive houses, where controlling airflow is crucial for energy efficiency.

The box includes a complete mounting kit comprising mounting screws for quick installation and glass-fiber reinforced plastic mounting feet. Installation is carried out by tightening the mounting screws without the need to deepen the edges of the drywall.
