Triple electrical installation box for partition walls

The triple electrical installation box KPL 64-50/3LD HF_KA is designed for flush mounting in partition walls with high acoustic requirements. The product was developed for modern installations in low-energy and passive buildings.

The box is particularly suitable for soundproof walls with attenuation up to 69 dB. Thanks to flexible membrane grommets, it is possible to route electrical cables and conduits without compromising the airtightness of the partition.

Construction and materials

The box body is made of halogen-free PVC plastic. The material is characterized by self-extinguishing properties and temperature resistance in the range of from -5°C to +60°C.

Special attention was paid to the entry system - 10 membrane entries made of flexible material allow for the precise introduction of conductors with a diameter of 6-10 mm and conduits with a diameter of 25 mm. Each entry has a pre-formed membrane that must be pierced before cable installation, which guarantees the maintenance of airtightness even after the conductor is installed.

The design also includes 12 non-adjustable brackets for mounting electrical accessories and three spikes on the outer side of the bottom, which serve to precisely mark the drilling points for mounting holes.

Operating parameters and mounting system

The box is designed to operate at a rated voltage up to 400V and a maximum current of 16A. An internal depth of 50 mm provides sufficient space for modern electrical accessory elements and comfortable cable routing.

The mounting system is based on two sets of screws:

• Self-tapping double-thread mounting screws for securing the box in the plasterboard opening,
• Fixing screws hidden under the edge of the body, intended for mounting accessory elements.

Installation does not require deepening the edge of the opening - a characteristic rim allows for stable seating even with inaccurately made holes. The screws are equipped with plastic guide feet, which ensure precise positioning of the element.

Normative compliance and certification

The product meets the requirements of the ČSN EN 60670-1 standard and its latest edition ČSN EN IEC 60670-1 ed.2:21, confirming its compliance with European electrical installation safety standards. The box has successfully passed flame spread resistance tests and the glow-wire test.

The body material is classified into the fire reaction class A1-F, allowing for use in both non-combustible and combustible materials according to current construction classification. The halogen-free composition of the material eliminates the emission of toxic gases during a fire.

The IP30 protection degree is ensured by the appropriate selection of accessories or a cover with an equivalent or higher sealing class - this is an important aspect for maintaining the protection parameters of the entire installation system.

Protected by a European industrial design, the box is produced by KOPOS, a Czech manufacturer of electrical installation materials.
