Halogen-free device box for stud walls

The KPL 64-50/LD HF KA box is a professional electrical installation solution designed specifically for stud walls with elevated safety requirements. Manufactured using dukomponent technology from halogen-free plastic, it guarantees the highest level of protection for people and property during the operation of the electrical installation.

Construction and materials

The box body with a diameter of 68 mm and an internal depth of 50 mm is made of high-quality plastic with glass fiber additives, ensuring exceptional stability and precision of seating. The gray color scheme blends perfectly with typical finishing materials, and the raw surface requires no additional maintenance.

The design is equipped with 4 flexible membrane grommets, which replace traditional knock-out holes. The grommets allow for the tight introduction of cables with a diameter of 6-25 mm and conduits with a diameter of 25 mm, while simultaneously maintaining the full airtightness of the installation. The membranes are weather-resistant and provide durable sealing even after multiple insertions and removals of cables.

Mounting and installation

The box is installed using the flush-mounted method in holes with a diameter of 68 mm. The mounting process is significantly simplified thanks to double-threaded mounting screws, which allow for quick and secure seating in the prepared hole. Additionally, a plastic mounting foot with a guiding groove ensures a stable position of the box throughout the installation.

The box is adapted for wall thicknesses from 0 to 30 mm, making it a universal solution for various types of plasterboard. The extended flange parts eliminate the need to deepen the edge of the hole, which significantly shortens the installer's working time. Mounting electrical devices can be done using both screw and expansion mounting methods, providing full flexibility in accessory choice.

The product was designed with buildings requiring elevated energy and acoustic standards in mind. It works perfectly in low-energy and passive houses, where maintaining the airtightness of the building structure is of key importance. The flexible membrane grommets effectively prevent unwanted airflow through installation openings.

A special feature is the acoustic insulation - the box meets rigorous requirements for installation in soundproof walls with attenuation up to 69 dB. The material meets the requirements of flammability standards class A1-F, allowing for use in a wide spectrum of building materials. The IP30 protection rating provides basic protection against solid objects larger than 2.5 mm, and with the use of an appropriate cover, an even higher level of protection can be achieved.

The operating temperature range from T-5°C to +60°C and a nominal voltage of 400V make this box a universal solution for most standard electrical installation applications in residential and commercial construction.
