Mounting plate for final insulation

The MDFZ 80_KB mounting plate is an installation element designed for mounting smaller electrical devices on insulated building facades with a minimum insulation layer thickness of 80 mm.

The plate's construction allows for installation both during the insulation process and on finished insulated facades. The plate is suitable for external polystyrene and mineral wool.

Materials and technical parameters

The plate is made of PP (polypropylene) plastic, which is characterized by a lead-free composition and self-extinguishing properties (self-extinguishing time of 30 seconds). The material provides temperature resistance from -25°C to +60°C.

The product's electrical parameters include a rated voltage of ≤400V and a rated current of ≤16A. The plate has passed the glow wire test at 850°C and has a fire reaction class of A1-F.

Systemic and energetic advantages

The main benefit of using the MDFZ 80_KB plate is the elimination of thermal bridges at the mounting points of electrical devices. The KOPOS solution maintains the continuity of the insulation layer, which translates into thermal energy savings for the building.

The solid construction provides a maximum load of 15N, guaranteeing stable mounting even for heavier devices such as outdoor cameras or LED lamps. At the same time, the system allows easy access to wires through rear entries and simple screw mounting of the cover plate.

Compatibility and practical application

The plate has been specifically designed for the most popular insulation materials used in construction - external polystyrene and mineral wool.

The two-set system (MDFZ 80_KB basic and MDFZ 80/VDZ_KB with a hole saw) allows for cost optimization in larger projects - the first installation requires the MDFZ-80-VDZ-KB set, which also includes a manual drilling kit, while subsequent ones can be carried out using only the basic plates.

Safety and certification

The product has CE certification and a lead-free material composition, ensuring full ecological compatibility with modern sustainable construction requirements. Technical parameters have been verified by the manufacturer KOPOS ELEKTRO PL Sp. z o.o., and the warranty period is 24 months.
