Optical cable protection conduit – protection and flexibility

The protection conduit, made of durable HDPE plastic, is a reliable way to protect fiber optic cables laid underground. The yellow color facilitates identification and minimizes the risk of damage during earthworks. The conduit's construction provides not only physical protection against mechanical damage but also resistance to weathering and corrosion.

Construction and properties

The conduit is characterized by a smooth inner and outer surface, which facilitates the pulling of optical cables and minimizes the risk of damage during installation. The flexible design allows it to adapt to uneven terrain and overcome obstacles without the need for additional connecting elements. The inner diameter of 33 mm with an outer diameter of 40 mm provides adequate space for cables while maintaining compact dimensions. The compressive strength compliant with EN 61386-24 (Type 750) guarantees resistance to loads occurring in the ground.

The conduit has a normal impact resistance level, meaning it is adapted to typical operating conditions. The lack of a polished surface does not affect its functionality, and the raw surface provides good adhesion in case of the need to apply additional protection or markings.

For larger orders, it is possible to customize the color, labeling, or internal surface corrugation to individual customer needs. Other inner diameters are also available – wall thickness can be adapted to a specific project. The conduit is supplied in large rolls (1750 m), which facilitates transport and installation on larger investments.
