The C.MG3 module is a component that enables control of an additional heating circuit, such as underfloor heating or a heat accumulator. It works in conjunction with the C.MI module and a 3-way mixing valve with actuator, allowing for precise temperature adjustment in the installation. The set includes a temperature sensor WE-019/01, essential for the proper operation of the system.

This module is particularly useful in installations where independent control of different heating circuits is required. The system supports up to 24 such circuits (when using 24 C.MG3 modules), making it an ideal solution for both single-family homes and larger facilities.

Functionality and application

C.MG3 regulates the temperature of the heating medium in an installation equipped with a mixing valve with actuator. By mixing the medium returning from the installation with that coming from the heat source, it ensures the desired temperatures at the valve outlet (circuit supply). The control system is implemented by gradually opening or closing the valve, allowing for precise maintenance of thermal comfort.

The module can operate both as a standalone device and as a subordinate system, cooperating with the EKCO.M3 / EKD.M3 boiler and the C.MI internet module. In remote operation mode, it enables control of the system via the internet, increasing user convenience and allowing for optimization of energy consumption.

The pump output has a maximum power of 150 VA at ~230V 50Hz, and the valve actuator output is ~230V 50 Hz and a maximum power of 20 VA. Communication is via RS 485 bus, and a NTC 10K sensor (KOSPEL WE-019/01) is used for temperature measurement.
