SKINTOP® ST-M cable gland for demanding applications

The SKINTOP® ST-M cable gland is a professional solution for sealing and strain relieving cables entering electrical device enclosures. Made of polyamide (PA), it provides oil resistance in harsh industrial conditions.

Design and materials

The gland body is made of polyamide (PA). The material features a UL94V-2 flammability rating and an operating temperature range from -40°C to +100°C.

The gland features a metric thread M12x1.5 with a length of 8 mm, enabling secure mounting in enclosures with various wall thicknesses. A multiple flattened trapezoidal thread ensures stability during rotation and rapid connection closure.

Sealing and protective properties

The product offers optimal sealing, enabling the achievement of protection classes IP68 (up to 5 bar for 30 minutes) and IP69. This advanced protection guarantees an effective barrier against moisture, dust, and other environmental factors.

The seal is made of chloroprene (CR/NBR), a material with high flexibility and aging resistance, ensuring long-term maintenance of sealing parameters even with frequent assembly and disassembly.

Range of applications and functionality

The gland is characterized by a large, variable clamping range of 3.5-7 mm, allowing a single product to accommodate various cable outer diameters.

Built-in cable strain relief protects cables from mechanical damage caused by tensile or torsional stresses. Additionally, durable vibration protection prevents the cover nut from loosening during machine operation.
