Universal securing nut for cable glands

The SKINDICHT® SM-PE PG 29 securing nut is a professional fastening component made of nickel-plated brass, designed for the installation of SKINTOP® and SKINDICHT® cable glands in electrical device enclosures.

Design and materials

The nut body is made of high-quality nickel-plated brass, which ensures excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical durability. The hexagonal shape allows for easy installation using standard tools, and the cutting edges, specially designed to pierce insulation layers, guarantee optimal electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).

The PG 29 thread with a pitch of 1.588 mm allows for secure fastening in standard enclosure through-holes. The hexagon width across flats of 47.3 mm ensures a stable grip during tightening.

Versatile application

The nut has been specifically developed for painted, anodized, and powder-coated enclosures, where standard solutions do not provide adequate electrical contact. It is ideal for applications requiring electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), especially when used with SKINTOP® MS-SC or SKINTOP® BRUSH grounding cable glands.

Thanks to its design, which allows for piercing a single unthreaded thin-walled opening, it is suitable for modern electronic device enclosures and switchgear.

The product features a wide operating temperature range from -60°C to +200°C, allowing for use in extreme environmental conditions. The halogen-free construction and impact resistance make it safe for health and the environment.
