Application and design

The SKINTOP® GMP-GL-M lock nut was designed for mounting SKINTOP® cable glands in non-threaded holes. The hexagonal shape made of glass fiber reinforced polyamide (PA) ensures maximum mechanical stability while maintaining a lightweight design.

The component is ideal for industrial applications such as factory automation, telecommunication installations, or packaging plants. Thanks to a wide operating temperature range from -20°C to +100°C, it is suitable even in demanding environmental conditions.

Design advantages

Glass fiber reinforcement guarantees high wear resistance and reliable mechanical stability during long-term operation. The material is halogen-free, making it environmentally friendly and compliant with modern ecological requirements.

The grey surface (RAL 7035) and support surface for open-ended wrenches eliminate the risk of scratching the enclosure during installation. The M32 x 1.5 metric thread with a wrench size of 41mm allows for secure tightening with standard tools.

Material and workmanship

The component is made of polyamide (PA) with a thickness of 7mm, in accordance with DIN EN 60423 standards for metric threads and DIN IEC 62444 as the basis for technical information. The product has UL certification (E79903), which enables use in North America - however, only in combination with SKINTOP® cable glands that have UL approval.

The material is self-extinguishing according to UL94 V-2, providing additional operational safety.
