Versatile solution for multi-conductor installations

The SKINTOP® DIX-M 20250 multi-passage sealing insert is an advanced solution that enables the entry of two conductors through a single cable gland. Instead of using separate glands for each cable, this intelligent system allows for a significant reduction in the number of enclosure openings and a compact installation.

Design and material

The insert is made of nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR), which is characterized by high flexibility and oil resistance. The NBR material ensures a gentle yet secure fastening of the conductors without the risk of damage, while maintaining the sealing integrity of the installation.

The design includes two openings, each with a diameter of 5mm, allowing two conductors to be routed simultaneously through a single connection. The total outer diameter of the insert is 16.6mm, and its thickness is 8.4mm, ensuring an optimal fit for standard M20 glands.

This is the main advantage of this solution. Instead of mounting separate glands for each conductor, one gland equipped with this insert can be used, leading to smaller component dimensions and a more compact overall design.

Application and compatibility

The insert is designed for use with SKINTOP® and SKINTOP® CLICK metric cable glands. It is ideal for industrial applications where routing multiple conductors through a single connection is required.

The system can be used both indoors and outdoors, offering an IP54 protection class as standard and IP68 when all openings are fully utilized (by using conductors with the nominal diameter or by closing unused openings with dedicated SKINTOP® DIX-DV plugs).

Operating parameters

The NBR material provides a wide operating temperature range from -40°C to +100°C, making it suitable for most standard industrial applications. The oil resistance of the material guarantees long-term functionality even in environments containing oily substances.

The standard version is available in black (RAL 9005), and the packaging contains 100 inserts, enabling economical supply for larger installation projects.
