UNITRONIC® BUS PB H 7-W Data Bus Cable

The UNITRONIC® BUS PB H 7-W cable is a flexible data bus cable designed for use in bus systems, both in stationary installations and where some mobility is required. The flexible construction with 7 wires provides resistance to vibration and facilitates routing in tight spaces. This cable is characterized by a high level of electromagnetic shielding, which minimizes interference and ensures stable data transmission.

Construction and Application

The cable is designed to operate in dry and humid environments. It is ideal for building PROFIBUS-DP, PROFIBUS-FMS and FIP networks. Thanks to the use of LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) materials – halogen-free – the cable meets high fire safety requirements. This is particularly important in public buildings and industrial plants. The cable construction allows data transmission at speeds up to 12 Mbit/s over a distance of up to 100 meters (depending on the transmission speed). The maximum cable lengths for individual transmission speeds, according to PNO specifications, are:

• 93.75 kbit/s: 1200 m
• 187.5 kbit/s: 1000 m
• 500 kbit/s: 400 m
• 1.5 Mbit/s: 200 m
• 12.0 Mbit/s: 100 m
