The IP68 ISO 25 cable gland is a high-quality solution for the hermetic entry of wires and cables into switchgear and electrical installations. Made of polyamide (PA) in RAL 7001 grey, it provides full protection against dust and moisture even in harsh environmental conditions.
Construction and materials
The gland body is made of polyamide (PA) - a plastic with high mechanical and chemical resistance. The material is halogen-free, making it safe for the environment and users. The design is characterized by impact resistance, guaranteeing durability during installation and operation.
A key element is the locking mechanism with flexible blades, which exert strong pressure on the cable, ensuring excellent cable retention. This system automatically adjusts to various cable diameters in the range of 12-18 mm, eliminating the need for additional sealing elements.
Operating parameters and protection
The gland offers the highest IP68 protection rating, which means full dust tightness and resistance to continuous immersion in water. The surface seal and locking nut are factory-mounted, simplifying installation.
The operating temperature range is from -20°C to +80°C, allowing for use in both cold storage and hot industrial environments. The M25 metric thread with a pitch of 1.5 mm and a length of 33 mm ensures secure fastening in mounting holes.
Application and compatibility
The solution is used for the hermetic entry of cables and conduits into switchgear enclosures, installation boxes, control cabinets, and junction boxes. The gland is compatible with single-core and multi-core cables with an outer diameter from 12 to 18 mm. A wrench width of 30 mm facilitates installation with standard tools, and the hexagonal design (width across flats 46.5 mm) ensures stable tightening.
The product meets the requirements of the EN 62 444 standard and holds CE, VDE, and IMQ certificates, confirming its high quality and safety standards.
