The Legrand IP68 PG 13,5 cable gland (model 098023) is an installation component designed for sealing and securing cables in switchgear, junction boxes, and electrical device enclosures. Construction and materials ensuring durability

The gland body is made of high-quality polyamide (PA), which guarantees excellent mechanical resistance. The material is halogen-free, meaning no toxic substances are released during combustion, while also providing natural impact resistance. The light gray color (RAL 7001) not only aesthetically complements most installations but also facilitates component identification within the switchgear.

A key structural element is the mechanical clamping system consisting of flexible strips that provide a solid cable grip and very good pull-out resistance. This system is specially developed to operate under vibration conditions, eliminating the risk of connection loosening during operation.

The PG thread with a nominal size of 20.4 mm, a pitch of 1.41 mm, and a length of 27 mm ensures secure fastening in standard mounting holes. The wrench width of 27 mm allows for installation using standard tools.

The neoprene seal is a key element ensuring IP68 sealing and resistance to changing weather conditions. The "straight" design facilitates installation and disassembly without the need for specialized tools.

It is worth noting the lack of explosion-proof design and the lack of certification for gas or dust explosion hazard zones - this feature limits the product's application area mainly to standard electrical installations in residential, office, and low-risk industrial buildings.
