This Céliane series shutter switch mechanism is designed for direct control of roller shutter, blind, and awning motors operating at 250 V with a rated current of 6 A. Unlike simple switches, this model features three buttons, enabling full control over the movement of shading devices: raising, lowering, and stopping at any position. The STOP function is essential for precisely adjusting room illumination levels or protecting against excessive sunlight without needing to fully lower the shutter.

The device stands out with its modern grey finish (RAL 7016) and matte surface, perfectly suited for minimalist interiors. Its construction is based on durable, halogen-free thermoplastic material, enhancing safety in case of fire. The mechanism is intended for flush mounting in standard junction boxes with depths of 40 mm or 50 mm, while the installation depth itself is only 24 mm, facilitating work in tight spaces behind boxes.

Installation convenience and universal application

For electricians, the speed and reliability of connections are paramount. This switch is equipped with a push-in self-clamping terminal system, eliminating the need to tighten screws and reducing wiring installation time. This ensures smoother installation and removes the risk of errors when tightening contacts. The mechanism mounts onto a dedicated fixing base for the modular system, ensuring stability and easy snap-in attachment to the frame.

The product is compatible with a wide range of Céliane frames – from single to five-fold – offering great flexibility in wall arrangement. Note that the mechanism (basic unit) requires separate purchase of the frame and decorative cover to achieve a complete look. The IP41 protection rating guards against dust and water droplets falling at an angle, making it suitable not only for living rooms and bedrooms but also for bathrooms (outside the shower zone) and hallways.

The device does not support remote control or integration with smart home systems such as IFTTT – it is a classic mechanical switch with high operational reliability. Thanks to the mechanical button drive, it ensures a clear return to the initial position after pressing. This solution is ideal for projects requiring proven technology without unnecessary control electronics.

In practice, the user gains control over three basic functions via three buttons: raising the shutter, lowering it, and stopping movement at any point (STOP function). Installers will appreciate the use of automatic terminals, allowing quick wire connection without tools, significantly accelerating installation work.
