The aM (motor short-circuit protection) characteristic according to the IEC 60269 standard ensures effective protection against short-circuit currents while simultaneously allowing for motor starting.
Electrical parameters and operating characteristics
The device operates at a rated current of 25 A and a voltage of AC/DC up to 400-500 V, making it a universal solution for various types of industrial installations and modular switchgear. A power loss of 2.7 W at the rated current guarantees efficient operation without excessive heat generation.
The breaking capacity reaches 10 kA, and some sources even specify 100 kA, ensuring effective protection even at very high short-circuit currents typical for industrial installations.
