Housing design and construction

The RWN flush-mounted distribution board with external dimensions of 330 × 430 × 86.5 mm fits into standard wall openings thanks to a mounting depth of 82.5 mm. The plastic housing in white (RAL 9010) ensures an aesthetic appearance after installation - the insulating cover in the same shade masks the interior and protects against accidental contact with live components.

The interior with a depth of 87 mm offers a comfortable margin for cabling and modular devices. Two rows of DIN rails allow for the placement of up to 24 modules (12 per row), which is sufficient for typical residential installations - lighting, socket, or power distribution circuits in a single-family house.

Signal-permeable doors allow radio and Wi-Fi waves to pass through the closed housing - you do not need to crack them open for a smartphone or remote to communicate with devices inside.

Wiring and installation flexibility

Removable cable entry plates - located at the top and bottom of the distribution board - significantly facilitate installation work. Cables can be introduced from the top or bottom without the need to maneuver in the tight space of the recess.

N+PE terminal blocks are mounted on the internal perimeter of the housing in any chosen location. This solution simplifies installation expansion - instead of moving terminal blocks between devices, you install them where they are currently needed.

The distribution board is expandable - it can be combined with other RWN distribution boards into multi-module sets or dedicated accessories can be mounted in both solid and hollow walls (e.g., plasterboard).

Protection and operating conditions

The IP40 protection rating means the housing is sealed against solid bodies with a diameter greater than 1 mm - dust and small objects will not enter the interior. The IK07 mechanical strength confirms resistance to impacts with energy up to 2 joules, so the housing will withstand accidental impact during finishing works.

The double-layer door insulation provides Class II protection - there is no need for additional grounding of the housing, which simplifies installation and increases safety during maintenance work.

A cylinder lock allows the contents to be secured against unauthorized access - useful, for example, when the distribution board is located in a public room or a garage.

The device operates stably at temperatures from −5°C to +40°C, and can be stored in the range of −5°C to +70°C, allowing for storage even in unheated rooms before installation.
