Wire marking in electrical installations

The LEGRAND cable marker from the CAB 3 series is a plastic marker designed for the permanent marking of individual wires and terminals in electrical switchboards. Made of polyamide 6/6 - a material resistant to the conditions found in typical installations - it allows for clear description of wires with a cross-section from 0.5 to 1.5 mm². The digit 7 is printed on the surface, allowing for quick numbering assignment within the switchboard wiring.

Thanks to the snap-in mounting system, the marker is attached to the wire without the use of tools - simply press gently to ensure the element holds securely on the cable. The 5 × 3 mm dimensions ensure that the marker does not take up much space and does not interfere during subsequent installation in terminals.

Compatibility with Viking 3 systems

The marker is dedicated to working with Viking 3 series terminals and modular strips. The manufacturer provides specific guidelines regarding placement in terminals:

• 4 markers per terminal for wires 0.15-0.5 mm²
• 3 markers per terminal for wires 0.5-1.5 mm²

One package containing 1200 pieces allows for the implementation of large switchboard projects.

Resistance and operating conditions

The operating and storage temperature range from -30°C to +85°C allows for use both inside buildings under variable atmospheric conditions and in control cabinets exposed to component heating. The material is not halogen-free - this should be kept in mind for projects requiring low flammability and specific fire safety standards.

The violet color corresponds to the international color code used in cable marking systems - facilitating the standardization of design and service work.
