Precise wire marking in electrical installations

The CAB3 series digital marker is designed for the permanent labeling of wire cores and terminals in switchgear, control cabinets, and electrical panels. The digit 8 applied to the surface allows for the unambiguous assignment of a specific wire within a circuit - this is the fundamental method of organizing cabling according to circuit diagrams and technical documentation.

The product is dedicated to working with Viking 3 terminal blocks and other modular morsettiers used in industrial and construction installations.

Construction and wire fit

The marker is made of polyamide PA6/6 - a material resistant to mechanical factors typical of a switchgear environment. The dimensions of 5 × 3 mm allow for easy placement on cores with a diameter of 0.8-1.4 mm, with a total cable diameter ranging from 2-3,2 mm (including 2-3 and 8-1). The non-serrated design ensures smooth adhesion to the wire surface without the risk of damaging the insulation.

The grey color is neutral and unobtrusive against the background of a standard switchgear - this facilitates reading the markings without distracting attention to identification elements.

Snap mounting and packaging efficiency

The snap type mounting involves sliding the marker onto a core or terminal - the snap automatically locks the position, eliminating the need for additional tools or gluing. This solution allows for rapid installation even with a large number of wires.

The marker is supplied in a booklet format, which facilitates picking individual pieces with one hand during installation work - especially when working in the tight spaces of control cabinets.

Operating conditions and durability

The operating temperature range from -30°C to +85°C makes the marker suitable for both industrial cold storage and high-temperature conditions generated by loaded installation elements. The same range applies to storage, meaning there are no special warehousing requirements.

The product is neither halogen-free nor transparent - these features are important regarding specific standard requirements concerning toxic gas emissions in case of fire or the need to monitor the condition of the insulation under the marker.
