Wire labeling in electrical installations

System CAB 3 from Legrand is a proven solution for permanent wire and cable marking in distribution boards and at connection terminals. The marker with the letter L in black on a yellow background allows unambiguous identification of a specific circuit or wire function - which is important both during installation and during any modifications or service of the installation.

The yellow background provides high contrast and good visibility even in poorly lit distribution cabinets. Clear labeling is the foundation of safe work with the installation - eliminates connection errors and speeds up diagnostics.

Material and construction

Markers are made of polyamide - a plastic resistant to typical conditions in distribution boards, including minor mechanical loads and aging due to temperature. The material keeps the print on the surface for a long service life, so the labeling does not fade or wear off.

The dimensions of a single marker are small (height of several millimeters), so they fit on any wire without the need to disassemble it.

Compatibility with Viking 3 system

CAB 3 markers are dedicated for use with Viking 3 series connection terminals manufactured by Legrand. One terminal accommodates a maximum of:

• 4 markers for wires from 0.15 to 0.5 mm²,
• 3 markers for wires from 0.5 to 1.5 mm².

The cross-section range supported by the L symbol is from 0.5 to 1.5 mm², which covers most wires used in building installations - from lighting circuits to power supply circuits.

The package contains 300 pieces of markers - enough for both smaller projects and to supply a workshop or installation team in one purchase.
