The PlexoS surface-mounted distribution board is a waterproof IP65 class enclosure, designed for installations requiring the highest protection against external factors. Thanks to its robust construction made of UV-resistant plastic and transparent doors, the transparent cover allows for monitoring switchgear without opening the enclosure.

Enclosure construction and materials

The enclosure is made of high-quality plastic, characterized by UV resistance and dimensional stability over time. The light gray color (RAL 7035) of the body, combined with a dark gray cover (RAL 7046), ensures an aesthetic appearance throughout its service life. The transparent doors allow for monitoring the status of electrical switchgear without the need to open the enclosure, significantly increasing operational safety.

The IP65 protection rating guarantees full resistance to dust and water jets from any direction, while the IK07 impact resistance protects against mechanical damage. The design meets Class II protection requirements, making it safe to use even in difficult environmental conditions.

Capacity and internal organization

The spacious internal chamber accommodates 12 DIN modules arranged in a single row, allowing for the construction of extensive electrical systems. A width of 281 mm with a depth of 102 mm provides sufficient space for modular devices – from circuit breakers and time relays to advanced communication and automation modules.

The DIN rail is supplied complete with dedicated grounding (PE) and neutral (N) terminal blocks, eliminating the need for additional purchases of mounting components. The wire organization system enables aesthetic and safe routing of cabling inside the enclosure.

Practical applications

Due to its high protection class, it is used in light and heavy industry, general construction, and service infrastructure. The surface-mounted design allows for quick installation on flat surfaces without the need to prepare special recesses.

The transparent doors are particularly useful in applications requiring frequent monitoring of switchgear status – alarm systems, lighting control, or building automation. The ability to monitor without opening the enclosure minimizes the risk of compromising the seal and ensures the continuity of operation for the protected devices.

Installation and operation

Installation requires mounting on a stable surface while ensuring proper sealing of all connections. Dedicated cable entries allow for wire routing while maintaining the declared IP65 sealing class. After completing the installation of the devices, particular attention should be paid to closing the doors correctly – proper pressure is key to maintaining the protective parameters.

External dimensions of 285×200×106 mm allow for optimal use of mounting space while maintaining full internal functionality. A mounting depth of 102 mm guarantees sufficient space for modular devices and freedom for cable routing.

Safety and certification

The product meets the requirements of European standards regarding electrical safety and protection against environmental factors. Class II protection eliminates the need for additional grounding of the enclosure, simplifying the installation process in areas with problematic grounding.

The PE/N terminal block system ensures correct equipotential connections and a neutral point for the electrical installation. The transparent cover does not negatively affect the electromagnetic parameters of the devices mounted inside the enclosure.
