Dual-function protection in a compact housing

The R 301 fused switch-disconnector combines two functions in one device - it enables circuit isolation and provides overcurrent protection implemented by a D02 fuse link. The design based on D0 type fuse links allows for rapid restoration of power after protection activation by replacing the link, which is a practical solution in industrial and building installations.

After removing the fuse link, the device generates a visible isolation gap - an important element of safe working procedures during maintenance or installation service. The built-in locking mechanism allows the disconnector to be locked in the open position, preventing accidental switching during service work.

The plastic housing provides an IP40 protection rating on the front side and environmental class II, which means increased resistance to atmospheric conditions and eliminates the need to ground the device itself.

Operating parameters and short-circuit capacity

The device operates in a single-pole system with a rated current of 35 A and an operating voltage of up to 400 V AC. The insulation voltage is 500 V, and the rated impulse withstand voltage is 6 kV, which testifies to a solid insulating construction capable of handling voltage surges in the installation.

The rated short-circuit capacity reaches 50 kA - such a value allows for the safe interruption of high-current short circuits without damaging the disconnector itself. The AC-22B utilization category means that the device performs well when switching circuits containing mixed resistive and inductive elements, typical for switchgear installations.

The operating temperature range from -26°C to +60°C makes the disconnector suitable for both heated rooms and industrial or warehouse facilities where temperatures may drop below zero.

Mounting and compatibility

The disconnector is designed for indirect mounting on the TH-35 DIN rail - a popular element in panel switchgear. The housing width is 1.5 modules (approx. 26 mm with a 17.5 mm module), allowing for economical space management in the switchgear.

Wire connection is made via cable terminals supporting cross-sections from 2.5 to 25 mm² - this range includes both typical installation wires used in residential and commercial buildings and thicker cables used in industrial installations. The screw connection ensures a durable and secure electrical contact.

The device dimensions are 83 × 70.3 × 26.5 mm, and the weight is only 0.174 kg, which facilitates transport and installation even in hard-to-reach places.

The product is intended for installation in distribution boards as an electrical power distribution element - it serves as a main disconnector for a given phase, allowing the separation of the load from the power supply network before service intervention or component replacement.
