The Viking connector is a high-quality electrical installation component designed specifically for making connections in protective circuits (PE). The product features a robust design based on screw technology, which ensures durable and secure connections for various types of copper conductors.

Construction and materials

The insulating housing is made of high-quality thermoplastic (polyamide), which guarantees excellent insulating properties and mechanical resistance. The material maintains stability across a wide operating temperature range from -5°C to 40°C, making it suitable for most standard industrial and construction applications.

The compact design with dimensions of 8 × 46.5 × 52.5 mm allows for efficient use of space in distribution boards and installation boxes. The connector occupies minimal width on the DIN rail while providing full functionality for two independent connections.

Electrical parameters and compatibility

The device operates at a rated voltage of 800V, enabling its use in most standard low-voltage electrical installations. A nominal cross-section of 6 mm² makes the connector ideal for routing protective circuits in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.

The connector supports various types of conductors:

• Solid conductors: cross-section from 0.5 to 10 mm²
• Stranded conductors without ferrule: cross-section from 0.25 to 10 mm²
• Stranded conductors with ferrule: cross-section from 0.25 to 6 mm²
• Multi-core conductors: cross-section from 0.25 to 6 mm²

This versatility eliminates the need to use different types of connectors for various applications.

Mounting and functionality

Mounting is performed on a standard 35 mm DIN rail in accordance with the PN-EN 60715 standard, guaranteeing compatibility with most distribution systems available on the market. The design allows for mounting on both symmetrical rails with a depth of 7.5 mm and 15 mm.

Each level contains two independent connection points, allowing for the creation of branches or protective loops without additional components. The screw connection system ensures secure conductor fastening and ease of installation and removal during service work.

Safety and certification

The product features certified Ex-e explosion-proof design, which expands its application possibilities in environments with an increased risk of explosion. The insulating material meets the UL94 V2 flammability class requirements, providing additional protection against flame spread.

The connector meets the requirements of numerous international standards, confirmed by ATEX, UL, and VERITAS certificates. The green-yellow color is the standard for protective circuits according to European standards, facilitating easy identification of the component's function during installation and maintenance.

An end plate is required for full functionality and to maintain the product's safety parameters.
