Precise wire marking in switchboards and electrical panels

The Legrand CAB 3 series marker (5-1, 8-1) is used for unambiguous identification of wires and terminals in electrical installations. The product is designed for use with wires having a cross-section from 0.5 to 1.5 mm², which covers most typical applications in residential and commercial switchboards. The digit "0" is printed on the surface - a black print on natural plastic ensures high contrast and readability even in low light.

Construction and material

The housing is made of polyamide PA6/6, resistant to typical conditions found in switchgear. The operating temperature range is from -30°C to +85°C, so the marker performs well in both cool technical rooms and near heating installation components. The dimensions of the marker itself are 5 mm in length and 3 mm in width, and the mounting hole diameter is matched to cores with a diameter of 0.8-1.4 mm. Installation consists of snapping the marker onto the wire - the snap-type design ensures the element holds itself on the cable without additional tools.

Application and compatibility

The CAB3 marker is compatible with Viking 3 terminals and other types of terminal blocks supporting the specified cross-section range. A single terminal segment can accommodate a maximum of 3 markers for 0.5-1.5 mm² wires. The product utilizes an international color code, which facilitates the standardization of markings in larger installations - the digit "0" corresponds to the color black according to industry standards.

Packaging and logistics

One package contains 1200 pieces of markers - a sufficient quantity for executing extensive electrical projects without the need for frequent reordering. The material is not halogen-free, which should be taken into account in design specifications requiring low-toxicity materials in case of fire.
