Wire identification in switchboards and control cabinets

The CAB3 marker by LEGRAND is a component of a wire marking system designed for the permanent labeling of cables and cores in electrical installations. The product belongs to the ETIM EC001530 class and is manufactured in France.

CAB 3 series products are made of PA6/6 polyamide - a material resistant to the typical conditions found in switchboards and control cabinets. The marker is mounted on the wire using a snap-in method, allowing for quick and secure attachment without the use of tools.

Scope of application and compatibility

The marker is designed for labeling wires with a cross-section of 0,5-1,5 mm². When used in Viking 3 terminals, a maximum of 3 markers per section is allocated for cables within this cross-section range.

The CAB 3 system also includes markers for smaller cross-sections (0,15-0,5 mm²), allowing for the construction of a complete installation identification system - from the smallest cores to thicker power cables.

The brown color of the marker corresponds to the international color code used in wire marking - the digit "1" is clearly visible against the brown background.

Performance parameters and operating conditions

The marker maintains print legibility in temperatures from -30°C to +85°C, making it suitable for both indoor installations and those exposed to temperature fluctuations - e.g., in outdoor switchboards or near heat-generating devices.

One package contains 1200 pieces of markers, allowing for a single-transaction supply for larger installation projects or regular maintenance.

Permanent labeling of every core eliminates mistakes during service work and accelerates fault diagnosis - the installer does not have to guess the wire's function, but simply reads the number from the marker and verifies it in the switchboard's technical documentation.
