Precise electrical wire marking

The CAB3 marking system from Legrand is a solution for fast and clear identification of wires both on Viking 3 terminal blocks and directly on the cable. The open ring design allows the marker to be applied before making the connection or after it has been installed - the open form eliminates the need to thread the wire through the marker.

Compatibility and scope of application

The marker is designed for wires with a cross-section of 0.5-1.5 mm² (5-1). The core diameter range from 0.8 to 1.4 mm and the outer cable diameter from 2 to 3.2 mm covers the most popular cross-sections used in low-voltage electrical installations.

The digital print "2" on an intense red background provides high contrast visible even in low light inside the switchgear. The additional label field allows for supplementing the marking with a circuit number or other data required by technical documentation.

Design dimensions

With dimensions of 5 × 3 mm, the marker remains compact - it does not take up space next to the terminal nor does it hinder access to adjacent connections. Made of plastic - opaque and toothless (no toothing), which simplifies both one-handed application and potential tool-free removal.

The operating temperature range from -30°C to +85°C allows for use in various environmental conditions - both at low storage or transport temperatures and in standard operating conditions inside switchgear.

Application

The CAB3 marker is ideal anywhere unambiguous wiring identification is necessary:

• terminal blocks - durable marking of individual cores at switchgear,
• active conductors - quick recognition of the cable route during diagnostics,
