Wire marking system for professionals

CAB 3 is a digital wire and Viking 3 terminal marking system, designed for fast and legible labeling of electrical installations. The marker with the digit "3" in orange corresponds to the international color code EN 60 062, meaning the color is not random - standardization facilitates wire identification worldwide, especially in industrial and commercial installations where the amount of wiring is significant.

Construction and wire fit

The marker is intended for wires with a cross-section from 0.5 to 1.5 mm². The conductor diameter ranges from 0.8-1.4 mm, while the cable diameter is 2-3.2 mm (2-3 and 8-1). The dimensions of the marker itself are 5 mm in length and 3 mm in width, ensuring a compact appearance on the wire without unnecessary bulk.

Installation is done via snap-on mechanism - the open ring principle allows the marker to be applied both before connecting the wire and after connecting it to the Viking 3 terminal block. This is a crucial feature for installers working in tight distribution boards, where access to already installed wires can be difficult.

The model is available in a booklet shape - markers are factory-connected in strips to facilitate picking individual pieces during work.

Operating conditions and application

The marker maintains its properties in temperatures from -30°C to +85°C, both during operation and storage. It can be used in production halls, cold storage, or outdoor installations - where temperature conditions are extreme.

The plastic is not halogen-free (Halogen free: No), so in case of requirements regarding low flammability and reduction of toxic gases in a fire, dedicated solutions from the Legrand range should be considered.

The CAB 3 system is effective for labeling wires in distribution boards with Viking 3 terminal blocks, organizing wiring in control cabinets, and identifying circuits in industrial installations and public buildings. The color scheme according to the EN standard enables the creation of a consistent color system throughout the entire installation - each digit has an assigned color in accordance with the international standard. Clear marking also accelerates service and maintenance work.

Packaging and purchasing logistics

The commercial unit contains 1200 pieces of markers. For cross-sections from 0.5 to 2.5 mm², the markers are factory-connected in strips of 30 pieces, making them easy to pick up with one hand during installation - there is no need to search for individual loose elements.
