The key to this is a brushless DC motor (BLDC), which not only operates quietly but, above all, consumes energy significantly more efficiently than traditional brushed motors. As a result, the jacket is lightweight—weighing only 0.47 kg—so that installers or construction workers do not feel its weight on their shoulders even throughout the entire day.
Power Supply Flexibility and Precise Airflow Control
One of the greatest advantages of this model is its versatility in terms of power supply. The jacket is designed to be compatible with popular Li-ion batteries from the CXT and LXT series. This means that if you already have a set of Makita tools on the construction site or in the workshop, you do not need to purchase dedicated batteries for clothing—simply connect the same 12 V, 14.4 V, or 18 V battery. The user has full control over comfort thanks to four airflow power levels. There is no need to choose between "cool" and "hot"; the airflow intensity can be precisely adjusted to current atmospheric conditions and work intensity.
Thanks to the BLDC brushless motor, the jacket offers four levels of airflow regulation: from 1.5 m³/min at the lowest setting up to 2.2 m³/min at maximum power. Such flexibility directly translates into the device's operating time. When using an 18 V battery with a capacity of 6.0 Ah:
- At the lowest speed (airflow 1.5 m³/min), the device operates for approximately 33 hours.
- At medium settings (approx. 1.7–2.1 m³/min), this time is 24.5 hours or slightly less.
- Even at maximum airflow (2.2 m³/min), the jacket ensures continuous operation for 13.5 hours, allowing the user to complete an entire shift without needing to replace the battery.
Protection Against Radiation and Material Durability
The jacket not only cools but also protects against harmful solar radiation. It is made from 100% polyester fabric certified with UPF50+ protection. This means it blocks over 98% of UV radiation and reflects IR (infrared) radiation, further reducing material heating from the outside.
