The Makita DFJ212AL ventilated jacket is a solution that actively counteracts this phenomenon by utilizing power from 18V (LXT) or 14.4V/12V (CXT) system batteries. This is not ordinary workwear – it is a cooling system that forces air circulation under the clothing, removing moisture and heat from the body. As a result, the user feels cooler even during long shifts in hot production halls or on construction sites.

Performance and Work Flexibility

The key element of this jacket is a built-in high-performance fan. In Turbo mode, the device generates an airflow of 2.2 m³/min, ensuring immediate cooling during periods of maximum thermal load. For installers and workers requiring longer operation times without frequent battery recharging, lower modes (High, Mid, Low) are available, allowing precise adjustment of power to current needs.

Operating time depends on the selected power level and the capacity of the battery used. With the popular BL1860B cell (6.0 Ah), the jacket can operate for up to 33 hours in the lowest mode. Even at maximum performance, this time is approximately 13.5 hours, which in practice means the possibility of working for several days without recharging (during a standard shift). These values change smoothly depending on the setting: High mode offers about 24.5 hours of operation at an airflow of 2.1 m³/min, while Mid mode allows for longer use with slightly lower airflow intensity (1.7 m³/min).
