Functionality and protection

The DRC-100B power supply offers two outputs: 27.6V with a current of 3.5A and a 13.8V output (current depending on the model in the DRC series). This allows you to power various devices with different voltages from a single source. Built-in protections protect both the power supply itself and the devices connected to it from damage caused by malfunction or failures in the electrical network. These include:

• Short-circuit protection – immediate power disconnection in case of a short circuit, minimizing the risk of damage.
• Overload protection – limits power consumption, protecting against overheating and damage to components.
• Overvoltage protection – protects against sudden voltage surges in the electrical network.
• Low battery protection – cuts off battery charging when the battery is too discharged, preventing its damage.
• Reverse battery polarity protection – protects against the effects of incorrect battery connection (using a fuse).

Additionally, the DRC-100B model is equipped with a status indicator using an LED and an AC OK alarm signal and a low battery level indicator (relay output available in DRC-60/DRC-100 models).

Construction and operating parameters

The power supply operates in a wide input voltage range of 90-264VAC (and 124-370VDC), making it a universal solution for various electrical installations. Efficiency at 88% translates to lower energy losses and lower operating costs. Thanks to the design enabling free air circulation, it can operate in difficult temperature conditions from -30°C to +70°C. Adjustment of the output voltage allows adaptation of parameters to the specific requirements of connected devices (13.8V: 12_{15V; 27.6V: 24}30V).
