The DDR-60L-5 converter is a reliable power source, designed to operate within a wide range of input voltages (18-75V) and deliver a stable output voltage of 5V with a current of 12A. Its compact dimensions (width of 3 mounting modules, i.e. 52.5mm) allow for easy mounting on a TS-35/7.5 or 15 DIN rail, making it an ideal solution for both control cabinets and applications requiring mounting flexibility.

Construction and application

The converter is designed to operate in harsh industrial conditions. A wide input voltage range (4:1) ensures compatibility with various power sources, and high energy efficiency (up to 87.5% depending on the load) minimizes energy losses and generated heat. The ability to operate at temperatures from -40°C to +85°C makes it an ideal choice for outdoor or extreme temperature applications. The lack of required minimum load simplifies power system design, and the ±10% output voltage adjustment allows for adaptation to specific application needs.

Safety and protection

The implemented protections – short-circuit, overload, overvoltage, and reverse polarity – ensure protection for both the converter and the devices connected to it. Input/output isolation with a withstand voltage of 4 kVdc guarantees safe operation and minimizes the risk of electromagnetic interference. Cooling is achieved by free air convection, eliminating the need for additional fans and reducing the risk of failure related to their damage. Thanks to this, the converter is not only efficient but also reliable and durable in operation.
