KNX power supply for smart building systems

The KNX-40E-1280 power supply is a reliable device dedicated to powering KNX bus installations. Construction and functionality

The power supply is designed for easy mounting on a DIN TS35 / 7.5 or 15 rail. It has a built-in choke on the KNX bus output, which prevents interference and ensures stable communication. Additionally, it offers an auxiliary output for powering other devices in the system. LED indicators inform about the device's operating status – normal operation, overload and bus reset operation. A bus reset button facilitates quick restoration of system operation in the event of a failure.

Safety and operating parameters

The device has a number of protections, including short-circuit, overload (operating at 205-235% of the rated current) and overvoltage protection. A wide input voltage range (180~264 VAC) allows it to be used in various network conditions. Operation at a temperature of -30°C to +70°C guarantees reliability even in harsh environmental conditions. The power supply complies with EN61000-6-2 (EN50082-2) standard, which confirms its safety and electromagnetic compatibility. In addition, the manufacturer offers a 3-year warranty on the device.

Good to know: The power supply has the ability to monitor the output voltage, output current and internal temperature via the KNX bus, allowing for remote diagnosis of the device's status and quick response to any problems. This function requires the use of a suitable KNX-USB interface (e.g. MEANWELL KSI-01U) for configuration and data reading.
