Busbar Clamp MAE1855E15
The MAE1855E15 busbar clamp is designed for mounting on copper busbars with a thickness of 5 mm. The product was developed with installers working with electrical switchgear and end users seeking reliable electrical connections in mind.
Construction and materials guaranteeing durability
The clamp body is made of grade 11 steel, which has been electrogalvanized to ensure corrosion resistance. This construction ensures that the component maintains its mechanical properties even in harsh environmental conditions. The clamping screw is also made of galvanized steel, providing long-term protection against rust.
The pressure spring is a key element of the entire mechanism - it is made of stainless steel, which guarantees its resistance to corrosion and the maintenance of clamping force throughout its service life. The hexagonal screw head allows for tightening using a standard hex key or a Phillips screwdriver.
Operating parameters and safety
The clamp operates at voltages up to 1000V AC/DC, making it suitable for both alternating and direct current installations. The maximum operating current is 500A, and the maximum cross-section of the connected conductor is 185 mm². The total width of the clamp is 35 mm, allowing for compact mounting in switchgear.
The product is intended exclusively for connecting round conductors - it does not support tape or sector cables. The thickness of the supported busbar is exactly 5 mm, and the busbar itself must be flat and made of copper.
Application and compatibility
MAE1855E15 clamps enable the attachment of conductors with cross-sections from 16 mm² to 185 mm², covering most typical applications in power switchgear. Additionally, it is possible to connect flexible MOFLEX busbars with dimensions of 10×20 mm to fixed busbar bridges.
This solution was developed specifically for existing switchgear systems, where modernization is often necessary without the need to replace the entire infrastructure. Thanks to its universal design, one type of clamp can accommodate different groups of conductors.
Practical usage advantages
Installing this clamp does not require complicated tools or specialized knowledge. The visible tightening torque allows for precise adjustment of the clamping force, which translates into the certainty that the connection is solid and secure.
Excellent electrical contact provided by the steel construction guarantees stable operation without the risk of connection overheating. The component can be used in various applications requiring high operating currents.
